Isabel Hamada is our public relations and digital media coordinator at Stateside Affairs. She brings a lot of creativity, reliable communication, and out-of-the-box thinking to the team. Isabel handles our clients’ communication and marketing requirements across a wide spectrum of social media platforms. She has assisted in managing digital information, curating social media posts and producing live streaming.
Isabel is a second generation Filipina-Japanese descendant, who graduated from Ocean County College in 2019 with an Associates in Humanities. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from Kean University, Isabel graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She was also the president of the Communication’s Club and the Kean-Ocean PRSSA Chapter. During her educational career in 2019, Isabel rose within her class to raise hunger awareness for Fulfill (formally the Foodbank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties). The campaign, #OrangeYouGlad was a college-run food drive which Isabel led from October to November. The Kean-Ocean PRSSA raised 207lbs of food to feed the Ocean County community during the holiday season which had gotten recognition from the Kean-Ocean administration.
Outside of the workplace, Isabel owns a small business called The Decora Shoppe where proceeds go to Asian American nonprofits and campaigns to Stop Asian American Pacific Islander Hate (#StopAAPIHate). She created the campaign #EducatetheHate where the shoppe educates the public about Asian American and Pacific Islander culture. Isabel is currently learning Japanese, enjoys reading, playing video games, listening to music, and creating art.
